Apology

I apologize I have not been involved with the new website development. I haven't been able to find the time I need to be able to contribute effectively. I will be taking significant time Friday evening and Saturday and will pass along my feedback and help then. I have still been keeping up with all of the developments and posts/e-mails. All that I have read and seen is looking pretty good. Thank you especially to Tim for all of your many hours I can see you have put into this. I know it is a huge task and hope you know you are very much appreciated.

Front Page Complete

The front page is pretty much complete. There can be more tweaks, but I created a format that roughly reflects the current site.

I re-posted the star-trek-like image. Hope it's not copyrighted.

Next I suppose the next step is training all the editors, etc.

Oh and I'll need the addresses for the prayer request form.

Progress Update March 5.

The basic top level pages have been created, reflecting the structure of the current site.

The "Before You Visit" page is 90% complete for content. We need sub-pages and pictures.

For the rest of the pages, excluding "Prayer Requests" I've posted an "Instructions" blog entry that explains how to add or edit content on each page.

Next tasks:

Setup the pastor's blog.
Setup the sermon audio blog.
Build front page layout.
.
.
business owners' page (concept pending approval)
worship focus page (concept pending approval)

Usage of Admin Account for VCF Website

Hello Everyone,

I am in need of some helpful feed back please. Can I hear from those who were given the new user login of Admin for the VCF Website. This will allow me to continue work on the VCF Website Support Roles and Logins. Which I am tasked with.

1. Was there any issues using the admin login to do your work?

2. If you have not used it, please do so now! Also provide feedback!!

The Vineyard Church Web Development

Adam and I discussed using blog for web development discussions for the team versus cluttering everyone's email inboxes. We can use this one if you'd like.

The web team plus JB have been invited as authors, or you can just comment on someone else's post.

For reference, the current church website is here: http://vcfwoodbridge.org/

The in-development possible next website (TVC3) is here: http://vcfwoodbridge.thestreetlight.org/wp

TVC3 is hosted on arvixe.com as a sub-domain of the streetlight for now. It's a shared host set-up. The website uses the popular open-source blogging software WordPress.
